It has been almost a month since I last updated heh? To be honest I just can’t seem to muster any effort to write about truly mundane things. This blog has turned out to be like that, a diary of trivial mundane things that no one really cares about and really shouldn’t care about. I have to ask myself why the hell I even bother writing in it or why anyone would bother reading it.
It’s something that I didn’t want this blog to turn out to be, I wanted it to be something worth reading. The authors Big White Guy and Tokyo Times write about the little eccentricities of the places they live in, the editorial folks down at 1up and Gamepolitics write about their interesting industry, Karan, Jack and a host of others have their insights in society.
Me? I write about shit that happens, it turns out to be me ranting about one thing or another. I have yet to write about my April graduation ceremony but who the hell really cares? Do you want to know how much I hate job hunting? how much exams stress me out? Hell no, it’s so incredibly self indulgent.
I write about that because i have NOTHING better to write or otherwise lack the skills to fully articulate what I want to say. It's like that in real life, I have nothing to talk about other than bitching about work, asking stock questions and answering with stock answers. I want to write about how painful it is that I rarely see my 'friends' at IS and how incredibly lonely it is when i do see them. I hate they are/were superficial relationships rather than real friendships and that it seems to be the trend these days but how do i write about it without being so selfish? How do I write about it so that it is interesting?
Blogs should have purpose, this one doesn’t. Just look at this post, how incredibly unimportant was it?
